Former Jasper Officer new SE Dubois School Resource Officer

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office announced former Jasper Police Detective Jeremy Lee will now serve as the School Resource Officer in the Southeast Dubois County School Corporation.
In a press release, the sheriff’s department noted that after a 31-year career with the Jasper Police Department, Lee’s transition to a new role as the School Resource Officer marked a significant addition to the school corporation’s security and safety efforts.
During his tenure at the Jasper Police Department, Lee, who retired in 2022, served in various capacities, including dispatcher, patrol officer, patrol sergeant, detective sergeant, and detective lieutenant. As lieutenant over the detective division, Lee was responsible for conducting and overseeing criminal investigations and supervising the School Resource Officer Program for the Greater Jasper Consolidated School Corporation. Lee also served on a United States Secret Service Task Force during his last four years.
Lee brings specialized training and certifications to his new role, including Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Certified Instructor, Active Shooter Terrorist Response Instructor, Field Training Officer, NASRO School Resource Officer Basic Training and Indiana Department of Education School Safety Specialist Certification. His training specialties include ERT/ SWAT Tactics, Domestic Violence and Fraud and Financial Crime Investigation and Prevention.
Lee was active on various boards in the past by serving for the Ireland Youth Sports, Jasper Police Department Pension, and Crisis Connection Board of Directors. He currently serves as President of the Southwest Indiana Law Enforcement Training Council and is on the Tri-County YMCA Board of Directors.

A partnership that will benefit our entire community.”
