Forest Park Senior Drew Messmer newest intern for Ferdinand

Drew Messmer is the new intern of the town of Ferdinand.

Drew Messmer, a senior at Forest Park Jr.-Sr. High School, was recently selected to become the town’s intern.

Over the course of his internship, he will work directly with the Town Manager, Marc Steczyk, until the end of December.

Forest Park students have been coming to work as interns for the Town of Ferdinand for a few years now. Allie Wylam worked the winter of 2008 and again in the summer, she then recommended Andrea Schroering for an internship. Both filled important positions within the city including developing the summer recreation program for Ferdinand. And most recently Victoria Van Winkle interned with the town this past spring.

Drew will recently provided assistance with the Ferdinand Folk Festival and will work on other various projects for the town.

Next fall, he plans to continue his education at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, while majoring in Business. Drew is the son of Don and Barb Messmer.
