Florence R. Neal, 88

Florence R. Neal, 88, of Huntingburg, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center, Jasper.

She was born December 9, 1926 in Jasper, Indiana to Edward and Helen (Rees) Meyer. Florence married Lester H. Neal in Jasper, Indiana.

She worked at General Electric as an assembler in Huntingburg and also in Tell City when the business moved there years later. Florence was a member of the Huntingburg V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Huntingburg Eagles. She enjoyed camping and bowling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Neal, who died in 2006; one son, Robert E. Neal, in 1983; two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by one daughter and one son-in-law, Linda (Phil) Ahrens of Huntingburg; One sister, Alberta Meyer Leibering of Huntingburg; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services for Florence R. Neal will be held by the family privately.

There will not be a public visitation. Nass and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
