Florence Elizabeth Walls, age 101, passed away at 11:50 a.m. Friday at the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

She was born October 4, 1911 in Boone Township to Vernon and Anna (Gray) Holder. She married Raymond L. Walls October 5, 1929; He preceded her in death August 3, 1994.

Florence was a homemaker and attended Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper.

Surviving,

  • Son, Charles Roy Walls and his wife Shirley, Jasper, IN

Daughters,

  • Virginia “Jenny” Mutchman, Greenwood, IN
  • Phyllis Mehling, Vincennes, IN

Ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her husband was a daughter Alberta Robinson and a grandson Scott Walls.

Funeral services for Florence Elizabeth Walls will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (January 22, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper with burial to follow in the Traylor Union Cemetery at Otwell, Indiana. The Rev. Debbie Roe will officiate.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday (January 21, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ or to the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.
