Flor D. Maglalang, 70

Mrs. Flor D. Maglalang of Santa Claus, Indiana, 70, passed away the 8th of December 2012. Surviving her are her husband of 48 years, Demetrio Maglalang and four sons, Herman (Indianapolis, IN), Alfred (Honolulu, HI), Dmitri and wife Michaela (Lincoln, NE), and Maurice (Indianapolis, IN), her sister, Felina Jarina (Cebu, Philippines), and her sister-in-law, Ellen Dalocanog (Las Vegas, NV). Surviving grandchildren are Hannah, Gracie, Mason, Nijel, Isley and Ocean.
Flor lived a full life as a wife, mother, grandmother, VUJC college professor, St. Meinrad Financial Aid Director, private entrepreneur, and economic consultant to the Philippine government. She travelled the world over for both business and pleasure including China, Korea, Japan, India, England, Russia, France, Italy, Austria, Indonesia, Switzerland, and Turkey to name a few.
Flor lived life to the fullest, never fearing the challenge of the unknown. Despite all that, she never lost her gentleness, her subtle sense of humor, her sweetness and loving ways that left a mark on all the lives she touched. She was a beautiful wife, a beautiful mother and grandmother, a beautiful human being. Flor was the “life” of any gathering, so it was only fitting that in her final moments on earth, her family and close friends toasted her as she had toasted life; with laughter, stories, and vigor. What Flor lacked in stature, she made up for in her large presence to all those who had the pleasure of knowing her; one never had to wonder when Flor had arrived, her entrance was always memorable. Our memories will never fade and our love for Flor will live on forever.
Funeral Services will be at 7:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time) on Saturday, December 15 at Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel, 214 East Seventh St., Jasper Indiana and delivered by Father Ray Brenner of St. Joseph Church.
