Flags ordered to half-staff in Dubois County in honor of general
Governor Mike Pence is directing flags at state facilities in Dubois County to be flown at half-staff to honor retired Major General of the Indiana National Guard Robert J. Mitchell, who passed away on Sunday, May 4.
Mitchell served as Adjutant General of the Indiana Army and Air National Guard from 1997 to 2001. Flags should be flown at half-staff from sunrise on Thursday, May 8 to sunset on Friday, May 9.
Governor Pence also asks businesses and residents to lower their flags to half-staff to honor retired Major General Mitchell for his nearly five decades of service.
