Ferlin Dale Beadles, 80, Winslow

Ferlin Dale Beadles, 80, of Winslow, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Winslow on May 26, 1942, to Arthur and Josephine (Kinman) Beadles.

Dale worked as a coal miner, retiring from Old Ben Coal Company. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending time hunting, fishing, digging ginseng, mushroom hunting, and participating in shooting matches. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Tennyson) Beadles; daughters, Robyn Thomas (Kevin), Teresa Pennington (Kirk), and Sheila Springston (Duane); son, Edward Payne; brother, Sammy Beadles of Velpen; son-in-law, David Glaser, Sr.; sister, Donetta Pfieffer of Port Richey, Fla.; grandchildren, Heather Hatfield (Brian), Zachary Thomas, Christopher Rowe (Lindsey), Lacey Snow (Shawn Kilgore), Dakota Snow (Brianna), Nikki Graceffa (Richard), Bonny Jean Miller (Jacob), Jessica Denton (Bobby), Matthew & Adam Pennington, Samantha Springston, and David Clement Glaser, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Aurora Rowe, Douglas Kilgore, Mia Miller, Jaxon Denton, Parker Miller, Vanessa Graceffa, and Macie Snow; niece, Tona Satterfield (Scott); nephews, Kevin Beadles and Leland McCarty, Jr. (Dawnalee); and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Angela Glaser; and his first wife, Bonnie (Jenkins) Beadles.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at O.D. Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, Indiana, with burial to follow at Beadles Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
