Ferdinand Town Parks Get WIFI Service
The Town of Ferdinand and PSC (Perry-Spencer Communications) have partnered to bring wifi access to the Town’s 5th Street and 18th Street Parks. Wifi access is currently operational at the 18th Street Park and is coming in the near future to the 5th Street Park.

Ferdinand Town Manager Marc Steczyk says, “Perhaps the most impressive and progressive portion of our partnership is that every square inch of both parks will be covered with wifi service. PSC’s work and research have combined to not just create a wifi hotspot around a single entity such as a shelter house, sitting, walking, or playground area, but this literally will provide internet service across any location throughout both parks.”
The agreement between the town and PSC became official at a meeting of the Ferdinand Town Council in early August.
The initial idea of providing wifi as a service to area residents and the frequent visitors that are in town for baseball and softball tournaments was brought to Town and PSC officials by Ferdinand Park Board president Scott Tretter.
