Ferdinand Scam targets elderly

The Ferdinand Police Department issued an advisory of an active scam working through the area.

According to authorities, male and female college age individuals are posing as college students and going door-to-door selling magazine subscriptions. These persons are accepting cash or checks as payment for the subscription(s), handing over a generic receipt and then leaving.

To this point, it appears residents of Ferdinand Senior Housing have been the only persons knowingly targeted.
