Ferdinand police seeking help in hit-and-run

Ferdinand police are seeking a person involved in a hit-and-run at the Ferdinand American Legion Post Friday evening.

Police were contacted at about 7 p.m. for the incident. According to police, James Lindauer, 73, of Jasper, came outside and discovered his 2013 Kia had been struck on the driver’s side rear corner. Police estimated it had sustained about $1,000 in damages.

Police think the vehicle that struck Mr. Lindauer’s Kia was white and the incident occurred some time between 5:30 and 7 p.m. They are asking the public or witnesses to come forward to provide any information. If you have any information, contact the Ferdinand Police Department.
