Ferdinand police investigating catalytic converter theft

The Ferdinand Police Department is asking for help from the public to identify an individual in the investigation of the theft of a catalytic converter.

Police responded to the Comfort Inn in Ferdinand for the report of a stolen catalytic converter from a Toyota 4Runner. Security footage from the hotel captured a man walking from West South View — the dead end road south of the Comfort Inn — at about 6:10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021.

Police said the man was tall and had a slim build. He was wearing a loose, dark-colored jacket.
