The Ferdinand Folk Festival is an earth-friendly and family-friendly event promoting music, the arts, and the environment. Held on the third Saturday of September at summer’s end and autumn’s arrival, this free festival, located in Ferdinand’s 18th Street Park, features nationally acclaimed musicians as well as exceptional local and regional acts.
On lawn chairs and blankets covering the park’s beautiful sloping lawn, you will experience a rich variety of acoustic music on an exciting new main stage, and between the main acts, from the intimacy of shade trees and the round market stage, guests can continue to hear outstanding area performers.
In nearby booths, local artists and artisans display and sell their work, groups dedicated to creating a sustainable environment and vibrant communities provide educational materials, and numerous food vendors offer many delicious and healthy options.
Children have a full afternoon of fun activities promoting music, art, theater, exercise, and environmental awareness. Workshops, yoga sessions, a drum circle, demonstrations, music jam sessions, tent talks, and discussions are also offered for adults.
The Festival will be held September 16 at Ferdinand’s 18th Street Park. You can learn more about the Ferdinand Folk Festival here.
