Ferdinand Chamber Board Names Forest Park Student as a “Junior” Board Member

In a continuing effort to get students involved in local government and commerce—a tradition set forth by the Ferdinand HomeTown Competitiveness initiative, the Ferdinand Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has named Forest Park senior Olivia Uebelhor as a “junior” board member. She will assist the board members in the decision-making process in a non-voting capacity.
“This is a great opportunity for not only Olivia, but the Chamber board, as well,” said Pat Miller, Ferdinand’s Chamber of Commerce President. “This gives us a great opportunity to learn from her, while providing her with a unique opportunity in our county of being a Chamber board member.”
Olivia is the daughter of Kent and Janet Uebelhor of Ferdinand. She has participated in soccer for four years, basketball for four years, softball for two years, and track for two years. She has been a member of Key Club, BETA, National Honor Society, SADD, Rennaissance Club, Spirit Club, Peers Educating Peers, Rangers for Christ, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Prom Board, and Treasurer of St. Ferdinand Church Youth Group. She also was a coach for the Ferdinand Kiwanis Youth Soccer league.
After graduation, Olivia plans to major in kinesiololgy/sports medicine. She is currently undecided on her college choice.
