Farina files for Ferdinand council seat

Ferdinand resident Don Farina Sr. has filed as an Independent for the District 1 seat on the Ferdinand Town Council

Farina will be facing Democratic incumbent Ken Sicard. Sicard serves as town council president.

Farina explained he was running for council in the upcoming election because he has been approached by citizens to to run who say they are unhappy with the current town leadership.

“Filing as an Independent allows me to run without having to hold a special caucus,” he explained.

Farina, 58, has been a resident in Ferdinand since 2004.

Democratic incumbent Debbie Johnson has filed for the District 2 council seat and current Democratic incumbent Clerk-Treasurer Bev Schulthise.
