Family Nature Fest coming to Ferdinand Forest

Welcome spring by attending the fifth annual Family Nature Fest on Saturday, April 22 from 8:30 a.m. to noon EDT at Ferdinand State Forest.

The Family Nature Fest includes fun activities for families, a snake presentation by Lincoln State Park Naturalist Michael Crews, forest management tour, and free continental breakfast. Door prizes will be awarded, and several foresters will be available all morning to answer your tree or forest management questions.  Smokey Bear will be there to greet attendees as they arrive and will help families plant trees in a forest management area.
