Eykamp String Quartet to perform at Saint Meinrad
The Eykamp String Quartet will present a free concert on Monday, December 7, 2015, in the St. Bede Theater at 7:30 p.m. CDT on the campus of Saint Meinrad Archabbey in St. Meinrad.
Members of the Eykamp String Quartet serve as principal string players of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra and as artists in residence at the University of Evansville. This dynamic quartet provides classical music performances of artistic excellence and passion and is committed to ensuring that both chamber and orchestral music are a vital part of our community and beyond. The Eykamp family established the quartet in 2002.
The program will include Haydn’s String Quartet in G major Op. 76 No. 1 and Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in E minor Op. 44 No. 2.
The Eykamp String Quartet is made possible by the special underwriting of Rita, Richard and Dorothy Eykamp, friends of the University of Evansville and the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra.
