Evelyn R. Lemond, 85, Evansville
Evelyn R. Lemond, 85, of Evansville, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018, at her residence.
She was born January 27, 1933, to Hugo and Ruth (Cunningham) Finke in Huntingburg.
Evelyn is a graduate of Lockyear Business College. She retired from Fifth Third Bank Trust Department in 1989. She loved to travel the United States with her husband Jim and also going on golf trips with various other couples. But most of all she loved doting on her children and grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, James Lemond of 64 years; daughters, Kathy (Rusty) Miller of Evansville and Cheryl Ambrose of Berea, Ky.; son, John (Lori) Lemond of Evansville; daughter-in-law, Sharon Lemond of Newburgh; grandchildren, Nick (Katie) Miller of Evansville, Natalie (Pat) Oster of Floyd Knobs, Ben (Kaitlyn) Lemond of Newburgh, Nathan (Melissa) Miller of Indianapolis, Caitlin (Declan) Murphy of Columbus, Ind., Riley Ambrose of New York City, Luke Ambrose of Holland Mich., Heath (Robin) of Paducah, Ky., Nikki (Justin) Williams of Venice, Fla., Morgan Lemond of Evansville; 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Lemond, and son-in-law, Kelly Ambrose.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710. Visitation will continue 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 918 W. Mill Rd., Evansville, IN 47710. A
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 am at the church with Fr. Jason Gries officiating. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum.
