Evelin Deel, 84

Evelin Deel, 84, of Jasper, Indiana, formerly of Birdseye and Wickliffe, passed away at 2:34 a.m., Sunday, December 7, 2014, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born May 5, 1930 in Franklin, Indiana, to Russell and Oma (Lane) Speedy.  She married Ottis P. Deel on July 20, 1946 in English, Indiana.  Evelin was a homemaker and member of the Birdseye Christian Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, who died May 12, 2010.

She is survived by her granddaughter and caregiver, Marla Rennison of Jasper; one daughter, Mary Ann Enlow of Birdseye; two brothers, Buddy Wright, Jr. of Le Roy, Ill. and Wendell Wright of Birdseye; her grandson, Michael Enlow of English; by three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Private graveside services for Evelin Deel will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at the Wickliffe Cemetery in Wickliffe, Indiana.  Pastor Ron Hickman will officiate at the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.  There will be no public visitation at the funeral home.
