Evan Glenn Oxley, 71, Taswell

Evan Glenn Oxley, 71, of Taswell, passed away at Deaconess Gateway Hospital with his family gathered around him on March 15, 2023.

Evan was born to Everatt Oxley and Opal Faye (Albin) Oxley in Huntingburg on July 24, 1951, sharing his birthday with his twin “KK” and his grandmother Flavia.

Evan was born to Everett Oxley and Opal Faye (Albin) Oxley in Huntingburg, Indiana.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Debbie (Sturgeon) Oxley; his children, Kade Evan Oxley (Amy) of Jasper, Misty Mahoney (Damon) of Taswell, and Shiann “Shibaby” Snawder (Greg) of Depauw; grandchildren, Alec Enlow (Lena), Calvin Jordan, Spencer Enlow, Kegun Mushinski, Cora Jordan, Everly Snawder, and Chole Oxley; his brothers, Kevin Oxley and Rob Oxley (Annie); his sisters, Holly Sattler (Jerry) and Evonne Schmitt (Jim) and many special friends he thought of as family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Elayne Schneider; a brother-in-law, Alan Schneider; a niece, Dani Hall; and a nephew, Adam Bush.

Funeral services for Evan will be held at the Fairview Church, 5560 W. Patoka School Road, Taswell, Indiana, on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the Wickliffe Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 20, 2023, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, all at the Fairview Church, 5560 W. Patoka School Road, Taswell, Indiana 47175.

Bro. Al Madden will officiate the service.

Pallbearers will be Alec Enlow, Kade Oxley, Spencer Enlow, Kegun Mushinski, Damon Enlow, Jaron Stroud, Valvin Jordan, and Greg Snawder.

Brown Funeral Home in Milltown is entrusted with the arrangements.
