Eva McKenzie Murphy, 94
Eva McKenzie Murphy, 94, of Eddyville, Kentucky, formerly of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Caldwell Medical Center in Princeton, Kentucky.
Mrs. Murphy was a native of Birmingham, Alabama and had lived in Huntingburg, Indiana, Louisville, Kentucky and Eddyville, Kentucky. She was a homemaker and a former retail jewelry sales representative. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Eddyville.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Patrick Michael Murphy; one sister, Evelyn Pascual (Editors: “Pascual” is spelled correctly); and her parents, Joe and Mattie Belle (Faulk) McKenzie.
She is survived by:
Three daughters,
- Mary Susan Cruse – Tampa, Florida,
- Patricia Eddings Davis – Jacksonville, Florida,
- Lynn Murphy Aldridge and her husband, Greg – Eddyville, Kentucky,
by (5) grandchildren and (2) great grandchildren.
In Eddyville, Kentucky:
Visitation is scheduled from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Central Time, on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville, Kentucky and also from 1:30-2:30 p.m., Sunday, with a prayer service at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at 8:00 a.m., Central Time, on Monday, August 27, 2012 at St. Mark Catholic Church in Eddyville.
In Huntingburg, Indiana:
A graveside committal service will be held at 1:30 p.m., E.D.T., on Monday, August 27, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Huntingburg. Friends are invited to attend and to meet directly at the cemetery for the graveside service. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the local arrangements.
