Eugene W. “Whitey” White, 73

Eugene W. “Whitey” White, age 73, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 9:43 a.m., C.D.T., Saturday, July 27, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

He was born April 4, 1940 in Washington, Indiana to Carl and Mary (Sheets) White. He was united in marriage to Carolyn S. Allen on September 1, 1962 in Washington.

Eugene worked as a machinist for Kimball International, where he retired. He was a member of the Huntingburg Conservation Club and Ireland Sportsman’s Club; and enjoyed fishing and still-board shooting.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Carolyn S. White, who died December 22, 2005; one sister, Louise Seymour; and two brothers, Carl and Donell White.

He is survived by:

Shirley Emmons of Washington, IN

One brother,

James White of CA

And by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Eugene White will be held at 10:00 a.m., E.D.T., on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Truelove Cemetery near Loogootee. The Rev. Phil Kessen will officiate the services.
