Eugene Pinnick, 86, French Lick
Eugene Pinnick, 86, of French Lick, entered into eternal rest on March 9, 2026, at Springs Valley Meadows.

He was born in Shoals, Indiana, on October 14, 1939, to Albert and Louise (Richardson) Pinnick.
Gene married Edith Galloway on October 21, 1959, and she followed him in death on March 12th, 2026, to be with him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James “Jimmy” Pinnick.
Gene was a 1958 graduate of Shoals High School, a member of Youngs Creek Church of Christ, and retired after 39 years from the Indiana Department of Revenue, where he was a field auditor and district manager.
He had served on the Public Defender Board, the Orange County Community Foundation Board of Directors, the Humane Society Board, the First Chance Center Board of Directors, and the Orange County Tourism Board, and had served one term on the Orange County Council. Gene was a recipient of the Distinguished Hooser Award and a Charter Member of the JayCees.
He enjoyed buying, selling and collecting antique clocks and could fix and repair most of them. Gene also enjoyed flying and aerial photography with his son Brent, and feeding the deer and birds.
Gene is survived by his son, Brent Pinnick (Marilyn) of West Baden Springs; daughter, Brenda Wyman (Gary) of French Lick; granddaughter, Kayla Best (Logan) of French Lick; bonus grandsons, Bill Choate, Jason (Michelle) Choate, and Jordan (Jane) Wyman; bonus granddaughter, Amanda (John) Bush; several bonus great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Paoli Community Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to First Chance Center, 986 W. Hospital Road, Paoli, IN 47454 or Anderson Cemetery, c/o Greg Benge, 5239 Emmons Lane, Shoals, IN 47581.
