Ethel Marie Traylor, 94, Otwell

Ethel Marie Traylor, 94, of Otwell, Ind., entered into rest on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare in Jasper, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Pike County, Indiana, on January 28, 1928, to the late George and Una (Condiff) Schiller. 

She married Tom Traylor on March 27, 1948. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1972.

She retired from Memorial Hospital and Healthcare in Central Supply, then worked at Watsons in Jasper until she finished helping her daughter babysit. She attended Otwell United Methodist Church in Otwell.

She is survived by two daughters, Rose Hatfield (Jerry) Stuffle and Elaine (Vance) Nelson; grandchildren, Amy Hatfield (Andy) Lee, Beth Hatfield (Bryan) Luff, Dustin Traylor, Emily Nelson (Clint) Hudson, and Tyler (Randi) Nelson; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death, besides her parents and husband, was a son, Erwin Traylor; sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Schiller; son-in-law, Wayne Hatfield; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Traylor.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Otwell United Methodist Church, with burial to follow at Otwell Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Otwell United Methodist Church.
