Esther M. Rumbach, 87
Esther M. Rumbach, age 87 passed away Friday (July 20, 2012) at her home.
She was born May 28, 1925 in Jasper, Indiana to Mike U. and Flora (Krapf) Schwinghamer. She married Edwin J. Rumbach October 16, 1948 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1998.
Esther had worked for the Jasper Herald for many years in the accounting department. Previously had worked for the former Jasper Wood Products in Jasper.
She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella – St. Ann’s Society and the Saint Meinrad Einsiedeln Society. . She was a founding member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority. Also the Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center Auxiliary and a long time volunteer at the hospital. Volunteer at St. Joseph Church and served on the bereavement committee also volunteered for the Diocese of Evansville Wisdom Day Program.

Preceding her in death besides her husband is one sister Mary Ann Hedinger.
Funeral services for Esther Rumbach will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (July 24, 2012 in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to Saint Meinrad School of Theology.
