Ervin W. “Huck” Huckelby, 79

Ervin W. “Huck” Huckelby, 79, of Otwell, formerly of Washington, passed away at 7:15 p.m., Sunday, May 4, 2015 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.
He was born October 24, 1935 in Russell Springs, Kentucky, to William and Lula (Stargell) Huckelby. He married Phyllis Chandler on September 11, 1954 in Kentucky.
Ervin was a welder and mechanic who owned and operated Huckelby’s Small Engine in Washington.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Phyllis Huckelby, who passed away June 26, 1995; one brother, James Cravens; and one sister, Ruby Redmond.
He is survived by two daughters, Robin (husband, Donnie) Barnett of Velpen and Lisa (husband, David) Miller of Huntingburg; five sons, Mike (partner, Christie) Huckelby of Ferdinand, Tim (wife, Carol) Huckelby of Huntingburg, John (partner, Sandy) Huckelby of Otwell, Mark (wife, Pam) Huckelby of Ireland and Steve Huckelby of Jasper; one brother, Finley Cravens of Trafalgar, Ind.; one sister, Annie Stafford of Franklin; 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Ervin “Huck” Huckelby will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Huntingburg.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to assist with burial expenses.
