Emmett F. “Frosty” Jeffries, 72

Emmett F. “Frosty” Jeffries, 72, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 2:25 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born August 16, 1941 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, to Emmett and Vira (Best) Jeffries.
He was united in marriage to Judy E. Buechlein on May 12, 1962 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper.
Frosty originally worked at Sound Design, which was later purchased by Kimball International; he continued working for Kimball at their Heritage Hills Division until his retired.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church; the Jasper Outdoor Club; the Schnellville Conservation Club; and the Y.M.I. Club where he also worked as a bartender.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Emmett Jeffries and Vira Jeffries Murray; two brothers, Charles Jeffries and Howard Jeffries; and one sister, Bettie Jeffries.
He is survived by his wife, Judy E. Jeffries of Huntingburg; two daughters and one son-in-law, Janet (Kevin) Brown and Angie Childress, both of Huntingburg; three brothers, Larry Jeffries of Huntingburg, John Jeffries of Jasper, and Phil Jeffries of Ireland; two sisters, Lula Powell of Sebring, Fla. and Alice Morris of Jasper; by several step brothers & step sisters, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Emmett F. “Frosty” Jeffries will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2-8 p.m., on Friday.
