Emma Grace Case, 88

Emma Grace Case, age 88, of Huntingburg, passed away at 11:40 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2011 at The Waters of Huntingburg nursing center.

She was born February 8, 1923 in Rogers County, Oklahoma to James and Myrtle (Thomas) Swartsfager. She was united in marriage to Robert L. Case on August 29, 1950 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. Mrs. Case was a retired secretary, a member of Central Christian Church in Huntingburg and loved to sew. She was preceded in death by: one son, Patrick Kent Case; two sisters, Anna L. Bodle and Ethel Boyles; and three brothers – Frank, James and Billy Swartsfager.

She is survived by:

One daughter and one son-in-law: Karel L. (spouse: Rex) Abell – Huntingburg, IN, (Editors: daughter’s name “Karel” is correct.)

One son and one daughter-in-law: James Robert (spouse: Shari) Case – Evansville, IN, (Editors: “Shari” is spelled correctly.)

Daughter-in-law: Lana Case – Evansville, IN, (widow of deceased son, Patrick Case)

by (5) grandchildren and (6) great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Emma Grace Case will be held at 2:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, on Tuesday, November 8th at the Central Christian Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery (Huntingburg). Pastor Paul Newland will officiate.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 11:00 a.m.-1:45 p.m., Tuesday, the day of the funeral.
