Emergency boil order issued for small area in Jasper

Due to a water main break, the Jasper Municipal Water Department is issuing a boil advisory affecting a very small part of the city. The area affected consists of W. 14th St between US 231 and Maute St., including Kundek St. between W. 14th and Beckman St.

We will update you when the boil advisory is lifted. It will last for a minimum of 48 hours or until 2 consecutive water samples pass our testing.

Residents affected are asked to boil their water for 5 minutes before human and pet consumption. The water is safe for bathing.
