Elsie M. Webber, 88

Elsie M. Webber, age 88, of Jasper, passed away at 10:55 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born in Shoals, Indiana on November 7, 1925 to George and Margaret (Hemmerlein) Bauernfiend. She married Howard Joseph Webber on June 19, 1947 in St. John’s Catholic Church in Loogootee, Indiana. He preceded her in death on March 24, 1994.

Elsie was a loving mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her family.

She is survived by six daughters, Brenda Donofrio and her husband Dan, of Newburgh, Donna Slathar and her husband Howard, of Austin, Tex., Anita Hedinger and her husband Keith, of Jasper, Paula Getzin and her husband Eric, of Jasper, Teresa Boyd, of Evansville, and Lauri Ackerman and her husband Bret, of Jasper; two sons, Doug Webber and his wife Margaret and David “Slick” Webber and his wife Adrienne, both of Indianapolis; 26 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her husband are one daughter Pamela Jane Webber, four sisters, Evelyn Cooper, Arnetta Wininger, Gladys Jones, Josephine Harder, and three brothers, Leo, Norman, and Elvis Bauernfiend

Funeral services for Elsie Webber will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service time on Monday, December 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.
