Elowese St. Clair, 89

Elowese St. Clair, age 89, formerly of Birdseye and Paoli, Indiana, passed away at 7:45 p.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at The Waters of Huntingburg nursing center in Huntingburg.

She was born April 27, 1922 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Oral and Bertha (Sturgeon) Beard. Elowese worked as a nurse’s aide in the maternity ward of the Orange County Hospital for 35 years. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Iville St. Clair, Sr.; and one son, Iville St. Clair, Jr..

She is survived by:

One granddaughter,

  • Lisa Cooper – Taswell, IN,

One great grandson,

  • Devan Nelson – Taswell, IN,

and her caregivers,

  • Bob and Ruby Lane – Birdseye, IN.

A graveside service for Elowese St. Clair will be held at 11:00 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, on Thursday, December 8th at the Bethany Union Cemetery in Eckerty. Friends are invited to attend the graveside service and the Rev. Albert Madden will officiate. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg has been entrusted with the burial arrangements.
