Ellen S. Kemker, age 79, passed away at 6:05 a.m. Tuesday (July 24, 2012) in Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper.
She was born April 13, 1933 in Louisville, Kentucky to Louis Paul and Margaret Eulalia (Wycoff) Stark. She married Bernard P. Kemker November 28, 1957 at St. James Catholic Church in Louisville, Kentucky.
Ellen Kemker was a graduate of the University of Kentucky in 1955 as a Medical Technologist with a BS Degree in Micro-Biology.
She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and also served as a Stephen Minister. She was a Charter member of Family Hospice of Dubois County and Former hospice volunteer for Family Hospice of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper and Eucharistic minister at Brookside Village since its beginning of operations.
Ellen was a past member of the Jasper Philharmonic Club and current member the Jasper Duplicate Bridge Group.

Preceding her in death is a brother, Louis Stark.
Funeral services for Ellen Kemker will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (July 28, 2012) in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday (July 27, 2012) at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
