Ellen L. Fuhrman, 78, Jasper

Ellen L.  Fuhrman, 78, of Jasper, passed away at 4:29 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Kentucky. 

Ellen was born in Washington on March 10, 1941, to Harold and Bessie (Wagner) Frady. She married Emil Fuhrman on March 27, 1965, at Frady Memorial United Methodist Church in Raglesville, Ind. He preceded her in death on May 7, 2013. 

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and WELCA. She was active in her weekly bible study and enjoyed reading, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends. 

She is survived by two daughters; Marcia (Gary) Hopf of Bloomington, Ill. and Karen (Steve) Lovell of Oswego, Ill.; two sons; Stanford Fuhrman of Jasper and Kevin (Susan) Fuhrman of Bloomington, Ill.; six grandchildren, Emily, Megan, Adam Hopf, and Joshua, Jenna and Alicia Lovell; one sister, Lois Ann (Dennis) Finster of Greenwood; one brother, John (Lana) Frady of Washington; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her husband is her twin sister, Helen Vermillion. 

Funeral services for Ellen Fuhrman will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Rauschau will officiate. 

A visitation will be held Sunday, May 26, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Becher Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before the service time at the church on Monday, May 27, 2019.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or the Redeemer Lutheran Church Building Fund.
