Ellen Cole, 87

Ellen Cole, age 87 of Jasper, passed away at 12:37 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2013, in the Timbers of Jasper.

She was born September 25, 1925 in Liverpool England to; William Joseph and Jane (Gordon) Kinnear. She married Roy Walter Cole September 13, 1945 in Liverpool England. He preceded her in death February 28, 1976.

Ellen was a homemaker and member of the Crystal Community Church.

She enjoyed knitting and playing cards and Bingo.

She is survived by four daughters, Margaret Wininger, Dubois, Mary Matheis, French Lick, Nancy Kiefer and husband Mark, Jasper, and Kathy Cole, Huntingburg; five sons, John Cole and wife Dee, French Lick, Walter Cole and wife Janet, Haysville, Bill Cole and wife Sherry, Crystal, Sam Cole and wife Sue, Dubois, and Tom Cole, Dubois, IN; 31 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her husband is a daughter, Claudie Kaeck, eight brothers and four sisters, one grandson, Erick Wininger and one granddaughter, Briann Klem.

Funeral services for Ellen Cole will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (September 17, 2013) in the Crystal Community Church with burial to follow in the Crystal Cemetery. The Rev.Mike Stout will officiate.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday (September 16, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church.
