Ella Mae Norris, 83

Ella Mae Norris, age 83, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 4:40 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

She was born August 6, 1930 in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Jacob and Marie (Nelson) Meyer. She was united in marriage to George Leland Norris on April 19, 1947 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.

Ella Mae was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Ladies Sodality.

She was preceded in death by one brother, William Meyer; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

She is survived by her husband, George Leland Norris of Huntingburg; three daughters and three son-in-laws, Phyllis (John) Harder of Alfordsville, Diane (Terry) Kapp of Branchville and Lisa (Randy) Fuhrman of Huntingburg; two sons and two daughter-in-laws, Kenneth (Karen) Norris and George A. (Barb) Norris, both of Holland; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Ella Mae Norris will be held at 10:00 a.m. EST, on Monday, June 16, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday.

A parish rosary, conducted by St. Mary’s Ladies Sodality, will be held at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
