Elizabeth Klem named DAISY Awardee for lifesaving actions

Deaconess Memorial Medical Center announced that the next recipient of the DAISY Award is Elizabeth Klem, LPN.

Klem is a nurse at Santa Claus Family Medicine and is receiving the award due to her recent actions regarding a man in distress who contacted the clinic.

According to a press release, Klem received a voicemail from a man who only left his name. She could tell his speech was slurred and called 911, asking for a well check, which ended up saving his life.

Deaconess Memorial is blessed to have Klem as part of our team.

The DAISY Award is an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses every day.  Deaconess Memorial Medical Center is proud to be a DAISY Award Partner, recognizing one of our nurses with this special honor each quarter.  To find out more about the DAISY Foundation, please go to www.DAISYfoundation.org
