Elizabeth “Betty” Louise Sollman, 79

Elizabeth “Betty” Louise Sollman, 79, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 3:15 a.m., Friday, July 18, 2014 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

She was born October 15, 1934 in Huntingburg, Indiana, to John and Theckla (Geesken) Junge. She was united in marriage to Lee Sollman on May 1, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.

Betty was a Nurse’s Aide at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Huntingburg; a member St. Mary’s Catholic Church; St. Mary’s Ladies Sodality; V.F.W Post #2366 Auxiliary; Happy Homemakers Club; and the Tuesday Rosary Prayer Group. Betty was an avid St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball, Indiana University basketball and Southridge Raider’s sports fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Sollman, who passed away February 21, 1986.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sheila (Roger) Bradford of Houston, Tex.; four sons and four daughter-in-laws, Steve (Nancy) Sollman of Shepherdsville, Ky., Stan (Toni) Sollman of Huntingburg, Scott (Sherry) Sollman of Huntingburg, and Stu (Felicia) Sollman of Louisville; two sisters, Mary Smith of Henderson and Ginny Schroeder of Huntingburg; by 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Betty Sollman will be held at 10:00 a.m., EST, on Monday, July 21, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Sunday. A parish rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
