Elizabeth “Betti” Kempf, 65, Ferdinand

Elizabeth “Betti” Kempf, 65, of Ferdinand, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis.

Betti was born June 25, 1952, in Ferdinand to Robert and Patricia (Carlisle) Oser. She married Glenn Kempf on August 1, 1970, at St. Ferdinand Church.

Betti worked for 40 years in accounts payable. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandkids. Betti enjoyed flower gardening and reading. She also enjoyed attending car shows with her husband Glenn. She was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Ferdinand Church where she served as an usher. Betti belonged to Ferdinand Legion Auxiliary, Ferdinand Community Center and was a Friend of the Ferdinand Library.

Betti is survived by her husband Glenn; two sons, Ryan (Valerie) Kempf of Durham, N.C. and Luke (Meredith) Kempf of Evansville; two brothers, Rich (Laverne) Oser and Randy (Bev) Oser, both of Ferdinand; three sisters, Pearline Wilson, Pam (Dave) Kippenbrock and Kim Oser, all of Ferdinand; two grandchildren, Gabrielle and Elijah Kempf both of Durham, N.C.

Betti was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Patricia.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand and Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ferdinand Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
