Eldon Ray Loveless, 70, Petersburg

Eldon Ray Loveless, 70, of Petersburg, passed away at Deaconess Midtown Hospital on October 21, 2026.

He was born in Washington, Ind., on May 2, 1956, to Gerald Lee Loveless and June (Fair) Loveless.

Ray loved mowing the grass and was very proud of his mower. He also made a point of flirting with his nurses during any hospital stay.

Ray is survived by his mother; his son, Tony Loveless; brother, Tim (Lori) Loveless; nieces, Nicole Lynn Query, Tiffany (Adam) Nossett; nephews, Tristan (Taylor) Loveless, Levi (Brittany) Loveless; grandchildren, Austin (Taylor) Loveless and Hunter (Aspen) Loveless; great-grandchild, Oxlee Ray Loveless.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Visitation for Ray will be on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. EDT until 1:00 p.m. EDT at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg. Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. EDT with Alex Benefiel officiating.
