Edward J.”Ed” Pfister, 86, Jasper
Edward J.”Ed” Pfister, 86, of Jasper, passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Northwood Retirement Center in Jasper.

Ed was born in Jasper on May 9, 1934, to Amos and Elizabeth (Streicher) Pfister.
He married Joan Vollmer on September 14, 1963.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. Ed retired from Indiana Furniture Industries in Jasper after many years of service. He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Joan P. Pfister of Jasper; three sons, Jude Pfister (Miriam) of Morristown, N.J., Paul Pfister (Michelle) of Jasper, and Greg Pfister (Angela) of Jasper; three grandchildren, Cameron, Nolan, and Jayden Pfister; one sister, Rose Mehringer of Jasper.
Preceding him in death were four brothers, Ambrose, Don, Dennis, and Leon Pfister.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Edward J. Pfister will be held at noon on Monday, January 4, 2020, at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper. The American Legion Post #147 will conduct military graveside rites.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the noon Mass time at Precious Blood Catholic Church on Monday.
Masks and social distancing will be required for the visitation and Mass.
