Edward E. Bauer, 80

Edward E. Bauer, 80, of Jasper, Indiana passed away at 3:40 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2015, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.
Edward was born in Dubois, Indiana on October 11, 1934 to Pete and Irene (Wolf) Bauer. He married Joan Schnarr on June 11, 1959 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boone Township, Indiana.
After 40 years, at Kimball International, he retired as engineering manager. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville and the Jasper Outdoor Recreation. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, woodworking, horse-shoe pitching, playing cards and dominos. He was a sports enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Bauer of Jasper; two daughters, Debra Kempf and her husband Alan of Jasper and Karen Stenftenagel and her husband Scott of Jasper; one son, Thomas Bauer and his wife Lynn of Jasper; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Carl Bauer and his wife Robin of Jasper.
Preceding him in death are one brother, Linus Bauer, and two sisters Martha Weisheit and Linda Bauer.
Funeral services for Edward E. Bauer will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Charla Grieves will officiate.
Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at the church.
