Edith “Sis” Pinnick, 83, French Lick

Edith “Sis” Pinnick, 83, of French Lick, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on March 12, 2026, at Springs Valley Meadows.

She was born in French Lick, Indiana, on July 29, 1942, to George C. and Helen (Cook) Galloway.

Edith married Eugene Pinnick on October 21, 1959, and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2026. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Dale and Keith Galloway.

Edith was a member of Youngs Creek Church of Christ and retired in 2015 after 42 years at Springs Valley Community Schools, where she worked as a secretary and the deputy treasurer for the superintendent.

She enjoyed singing, attending church services, hunting mushrooms, picking up persimmons, feeding the deer and hummingbirds, and was known for her baking and delicious desserts that she shared with family, friends and school staff.

Edith is survived by her son, Brent Pinnick (Marilyn) of West Baden Springs; daughter, Brenda Wyman (Gary) of French Lick; granddaughter, Kayla Best (Logan) of French Lick; bonus grandsons, Bill Choate, Jason (Michelle) Choate, and Jordan (Jane) Wyman; bonus granddaughter, Amanda (John) Bush; several bonus great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Loren Galloway (Karen) of French Lick, David Galloway (Donna) of French Lick, and John Galloway of French Lick; sister, Louise Henry of French Lick; many nieces and nephews who knew her as “Aunt Sis”

A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Paoli Community Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, and on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Springs Valley Education Foundation, a designated Springs Valley school club or organization, or that a good deed be done in Edith’s memory.
