East Deanery Wisdom Day

WISDOM DAY is offered annually through the Diocese of Evansville Office of Marriage, Family and Life to celebrate its over-age 55 population.

The upcoming East Deanery Wisdom Day at Jasper will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026. The day will begin with an optional 8 am Mass at St. Joseph Church, Jasper, “for Wisdom Day benefactors and participants” as the intention. This year’s theme is Jeremiah 29:11- “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Registration will be held in the St. Joseph Parish Center from 8:30 until 9:15. The days program will begin at 9:15 and end around 2:15.

Mrs. Pat Koch will serve as mistress of ceremony with speakers: Bishop Joseph Siegel, Fr. Kobe Wolniakowski, OSB, Dr. Kevin Schewe, and Jason Schmitt. Melanie Baker and Paige Kendall will provide entertainment.

The days events, including a catered lunch, door prizes, and entertainment are all FREE. Over 20 volunteers from the local community work to ensure the success of the event.
