Dwight Daniel “Danny” Ellis, 44

Dwight Daniel “Danny” Ellis, 44, of Birdseye, formerly of Mooresville, Indiana, passed away at 11:54 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2014, in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born May 5, 1970 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Ronald C. and Karen A. (Grant) Ellis. Danny worked as a plumber, roofer in the construction trade, and as an automotive mechanic.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening and mushroom hunting.

He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Karen Ellis of Birdseye; two brothers and two sister-in-laws, Michael and wife Janet B. Ellis of Mooresville, Ind., and Jerry and wife Rosemary Ellis of Coral Springs, Fla.; two sisters and two brother-in-laws, Dawn and husband Tim Powell of Mooresville, Ind. and Christina and husband Glenn Dallmann of Greenfield, Ind.

Funeral services for Danny Ellis will be held at 1:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Mentor Cemetery near Birdseye.  Pastor Ron Hickman will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., on Saturday, the day of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Danny Ellis Burial Fund C/O Freedom Bank.
