Dubois Strong welcomes new executive director and marketing specialist

Dubois Strong has named Colten Pipenger as the executive director of the organization.

Pipenger is joining Dubois Strong from Evansville Regional Economic Partnership (E-REP) where was a Program Manager overseeing READI 1.0, READI 2.0, and River Vision projects.

Prior to joining E-REP, Pipenger was a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana where he obtained a Bachelor of Science and a MBA in Business Administration.

“We are thrilled to welcome Colten as our new Executive Director,” says Nick Stevens, Board Chair of Dubois Strong. “With his experience, enthusiasm, exceptional communication skills, and fresh perspective, we are confident he will bring great value to our organization. We feel fortunate to have found him and eagerly anticipate a successful future with him leading the way.”

Pipenger is new to Dubois County and is excited to make it his home with his wife, their cat, and their dog. They’ve fallen in love with the area during their visits and can’t wait to settle in. Outside of exploring their new community, Colten and his wife are avid travelers who love discovering new places.

“I am thrilled to be joining Dubois Strong as the new Executive Director,” Pipenger said. “I look forward to immersing myself in a strong community and remain eager to collaborate with local businesses, stakeholders, and community members. Together, I believe we can continue to build upon and enhance the quality of life in our communities and create a thriving economic future.”

Dubois Strong also welcomed Anne McGowan, who joined us as the organization’s new marketing specialist in July. Anne brings a unique blend of skills to our team, having previously run her own photography business, which she continues to manage alongside her new role. She earned her B.A. in English from Thomas Edison College and also attended the University of Southern Indiana.

Originally from Evansville, Anne has been a resident of Jasper for just over 17 years, where she lives with her husband, their son (a senior at Jasper High School), and two Goldendoodles. Outside of work, the McGowan family loves exploring the local events and activities that the area has to offer.

We’re thrilled to have Anne on board and look forward to the fresh perspectives she will bring to our marketing efforts, according to the organization.
