Dubois Ruritan celebrates Septemberfest this Saturday

The Dubois community will celebrate its 24th Annual Septemberfest on Saturday, September 12, at Dubois Community Park, with a full day of races, food, live music, and family activities under the event’s longtime theme of “Good Friends, Good Food, Good Times.”

The day kicks off at 8 a.m. with the Dubois FCA 5K/10K Walk & Run. Festivities continue at 2 p.m. with the opening of the beer garden and family garden, along with sandwiches, drinks, kids’ games, and inflatables. The Little Miss and Mister Septemberfest pageant follows at 3 p.m., and Pack Troop #170’s Court of Honor is set for 3:30 p.m.

Dinner service begins at 4 p.m. with fried chicken and Arnie’s famous pork steak dinners, alongside food and treats from local vendors, including cotton candy, lemonade shake-ups, loaded fries, and ice cream cookies from the Boy Scouts.

Debbie Schuetter performs from 4 to 7 p.m., and a kids’ tractor pull begins at 4:30 p.m., with registration open from 4 to 4:30 p.m.

The Hoosier Daddy Band takes the stage from 7 to 10 p.m., playing classic country, ’90s country, and classic rock. The event wraps up at 9 p.m. with the theme basket drawing.
