Dubois County Waste Management issues restrictions for disposal sites

Until further notice, Dubois County’s eight recycling and disposal drop sites will maintain regular hours with the following changes:

• Anyone with fever, cough, or shortness of breath symptoms or those possibly having been exposed to Covid-19 are to stay off the sites
  
• Attendants will be assisting residents through window service only; public will not enter attendant buildings
  
• Anyone having recycling items that are normally handed to the attendant are asked to hold off on bringing those items until further notice

With residents complying with these safety measures, we hope to continue regular hours. We will keep in contact with the media and post updates on the Solid Waste Management District Facebook page. Anyone having questions about the 8 residential sites may call the highway department directly at 812-482-5505.

The Solid Waste Management District Process Center is still evaluating services, but continues to be open regular public hours at this time. Residents are asked to limit their trips to the process center and may check the Facebook page or call 812-482-7865 before coming.
