Dubois County veterans organizations announce Memorial Day observances

Veterans groups to honor fallen service members with ceremonies at cemeteries throughout the county on May 25-26

This is in addition to the services being held at the Courthouse.

The Dubois County Veterans Council announced Memorial Day observances at cemeteries throughout the county, with ceremonies scheduled for Sunday, May 25, and Monday, May 26.

Local veteran organizations will conduct these tributes to honor fallen and deceased veterans by placing flags on their graves. The Dubois County Council helps defray the costs of this effort by providing flags to the Veterans Council.

The public is encouraged to attend these ceremonies, which will take place at multiple locations across Dubois County.

“Please join all of us in paying tribute and honor to our deceased service personnel. We shall never forget,” stated the Veterans Council in their announcement.
