Dubois County Sheriff’s Office partners with RISE to reduce recidivism
The Dubois County IRACS (Integrated Re-Entry and Correctional Support) Program has been launched in the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office is the 11th IRACS site in Indiana. IRACS is designed to provide peer recovery support, re-entry planning, and critical resources to individuals transitioning from jail back into the community. Through the partnership, Certified Peer Support Professionals (CPSPs) from RISE Peer Recovery will work inside the jail and beyond to help break cycles of incarceration and support long-term recovery.
The vision of RISE Peer Recovery is to empower individuals grappling with mental health and substance use disorders by connecting them to comprehensive peer recovery services. Embracing diverse pathways to recovery, the organization fosters meaningful relationships, encourages community engagement, and promotes personal growth. By providing a supportive framework that respects individual journeys, RISE Peer Recovery aims to inspire resilience, foster a sense of belonging, and empower each person to achieve sustainable wellness and fulfillment in their lives.
The sheriff’s officer stated they are thrilled to welcome IRACS into our facility. “IRACS is now assisting participants here at the Sheriff’s Office in finding hope, purpose, and successfully planning their reentry into society. We are grateful for the opportunity to help people transform their lives.”
IRACS Provides: (just to name a few)1-on-1 Support; Peer Support Groups; Resource Navigation; Prison Transition Support; Family Support; and Reentry Planning and Support.
