Dubois County roads impacted by flooding

Dubois County residents are being urged to use caution on area roads as widespread flooding has forced closures across multiple townships.
The Dubois County Highway Department reports that 13 county roads have areas impacted by rising water levels from the Patoka River, White River, and numerous creeks and low-lying areas as up to 2.5 inches has fallen across the county.
In District 1, Madison Township has seen some of the heaviest impacts, with multiple closures along CR 300 North, CR 150 North, CR 800 West, and several roads running adjacent to the Patoka River. The Boone and Columbia townships are also affected, with Portersville Road West closed in multiple locations due to the White River, and several roads in the Cuzco area impacted by Davis Creek and Dillon Creek.
District 1
- Madison Twp — CR 150 North, West of CR 750 West (Little Flat Creek)
- Madison Twp — CR 875 West, South of CR 150 North (Little Flat Creek)
- Madison Twp — Ell Creek Road, North of CR 400 South (Patoka River)
District 2 closures are concentrated in the Bainbridge and Marion townships, where the Straight River and Patoka River have pushed onto roadways, including Meridian Road, Kellerville Road, and CR 400 North near Buffalo Flats. St. Anthony Road West in Marion Township is also closed south of Schnellville Road.

In District 3, the Patoka and Ferdinand townships are dealing with multiple road closures tied to Ell Creek, Hunley Creek, Indian Creek, and Bruner Creek. Notable closures include sections of CR 400 South, CR 500 South, Old Road 64, and 1st Street in Huntingburg west of CR 75 West.

- Patoka Twp — CR 660 South, East of CR 75 West (Indian Creek)
- Patoka Twp — CR 200 West, South of Sunset Drive (Short Creek)
- Patoka Twp — Ferdinand Road NW, 2 places East of CR 200 West (Valley Head Water)
Motorists are advised to avoid flooded roads and never attempt to drive through standing water. Road conditions are being monitored and closures will be updated as water levels change.
