ByLocal Sources Reading Time: 1 minute

The Dubois County Park campground will host its first Christmas in the Campgrounds on Friday, Nov. 6, and Saturday, Nov. 7. Organizers hope it becomes an annual event.

Campers are invited to decorate their sites for the holidays. Two prizes will be awarded to the best-decorated sites.

Along with the contests and festivities, the Jasper library has donated some crafts for the kids to do for the event.

According to the organizer, they want to give families something to do that is free and memorable.

Saturday’s schedule includes:

  • Meet Santa, 3 to 4 p.m.
  • Crafts, 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the first shelter house
  • Movie, 8 p.m. at the first shelter house [Editor’s note: movie title not listed.]

Campers should note that water at the campsites may be shut off depending on the temperature.
